I fly a chartered TUI Airlines flight to Malta to pick up a P&O Cruise. I had never previously flown a chartered flight before but was left thoroughly impressed by both TUI and P&O. The whole process from check-in at Gatwick airport to getting on the cruise ship in Malta was well organised and couldn’t have gone much smoother.
Our flight from Gatwick left at 7:25 in the morning and landed in Malta at 11:30. We left pretty much on time and landed pretty much on time too.
During the flight we got some spectacular views over the alps and upon arrival into Malta.
Landing in Malta and having cleared passport control we headed straight out of the airport guided by P&O staff to coaches which would take us to the cruise terminal. We didn’t need to pick up our luggage as this was taken from the airport to our cabins on board (this really impressed me). Our documents were checked at the cruise terminal and after a short walk we were on the ship about an hour after landing in Malta.
Below is a short video where I tried to capture the journey as much as possible. Click below to see the journey.
